I love your icons! You are truly gifted. BTW…one “writes” an icon, because each one is a “story” in itself.
my project prayer:
“High and Loving Creator, guide my mind, my heart, my eyes, and my hands as I commence this (item). Keep my focus on Thee and on (story being told), that my poor efforts may be a candle to help us come to Thee. Thine is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory; forever & ever, unto ages of ages. Ameinn.”

Thank you for your kind comments.
I am aware that in Orthodoxy the more usual term to use is ‘write’, but I am not Orthodox nor pretending to be, so I use ‘paint.’ There is a bit of writing right at the end, but that comes after a whole lot of using paint brushes and paint (and indeed is done using paint brushes and paint). The prayer is lovely. š

You are correct in saying that for an Orthodox iconographer the more usual term is ‘write’, but I am not Orthodox, and don’t have any wish to create Orthodox work; mine is Anglican, and because of that I use acrylic on canvas or board, and I paint. š

May the All-Holy bless and guide thine heart & hands every day. +++ Ameinn.

Thank you. š
Kateri and Dewi Sant I have, but not the others. I have a lot of icons that have not made it to this website yet; I really must add them to it. š There are some others on Instagram at cathyafy, including more recent work.
