Dear Cathy,
How very lovely these pictures are! Thank you for using the gifts God has given you to paint such beauty for others to see. I believe God delights in the joy we are enabled to give others with the gifts He gives to us. Each person is unique and has unique gifts from Him to give.

Well, in theory I went self employed last October to sell pictures. In practice I have not yet connected prices to pictures, or offered them for sale. So yes, but I don’t know how much. 🙂

I have revisited your paintings again Cathy, the detail is incredibly amazing and beautiful what a gift you have, when did you discover you could paint so wonderfully, on some paintings you have such a light touch the people are hardly visible thank you for bringing joy to my soul

Dear Catherine, I am an Art Historian. I have written many books about Gustave Dore. I am now writing a series of reference books on each major Dore title. I just wrote a book on the Dore Bible and I am now writing a book on Dore Dante. i want to mention your paintings and show samples. My book will have an entire chapter just on the Empyrean. In one of the photos from your exhibition, it appears that you have published a book showing one of your Empyrean paintings on the front cover. How can I get that book? Thanks. Hi Dan, thanks for the message. It is very kind of you to think of including my paintings in your book; I am most honoured. If you need higher resolution images of any of them let me know and I will see what I can do. I am not sure what book cover you mean; there are two people who have asked for my pictures to use on book covers; one I think has been published (a darker skinned madonna and child) but I am not sure about the other one (christ as homeless man); I am not sure that ever came out. I don’t have copies of either, I am afraid. I will take a look at the exhibition pictures again to see which one you mean. It could be from the format of my pictures; they are mostly painted on box canvas, which might make them look as if they are book shaped. As for the Empyrean image (Paradise as snow white rose?) this is an image I have painted over and over again, in different sizes and colours. My email is cathyafy@aol.com; feel free to get in touch.
