I have 20 beautiful new canvasses to paint, and have started some new pictures.
Continuing the illuminated capital series, there is David confronting Goliath, and then Elijah flying to heaven in a chariot.
And this picture is a request from a friend; Oscar Romero.
I have another request; St Anselm.
… and here he is.
These are drawn freehand using watercolour pencils. I used to use pencils, but that means lots of rubbing out while sketching and the lines never quite disappear; watercolour pencils just need a paintbrush and water, and they don’t leave marks behind.
And it is like Magic Painting.
These are the same pictures, with background colour added. This is enough for today; they can dry for a few hours.
