I met a distant cousin online, and she sent me this absolute gem, taken in 1904. The cut out girl at the front is not born yet. This is my dad’s grandfather and his children; my Nana is seated at the far right. I know all their names.
Great Grandad was a Durham coal miner; both my Grandads were miners. That will explain a lot to some of my friends; that coal dust never goes away.
I don’t think dad has ever seen this picture.
